This is a 1/350 scale plastic assembly kit of the Japanese Aircraft Carrying Cruiser Mogami. In the latter half of the Pacific War, the Japanese Navy refitted the Mogami to improve her reconnaissance ability. Construction of the Mogami was completed in July 1935, and she was initially armed with five triple 15.5cm main guns. After the withdrawal of the London Naval Treaty, she was refitted with three triple 20.3cm main guns and became a heavy cruiser. In the first half of WWII, she served at the Malayan Operation and the Battle of Sunda Strait. Later at Midway in June 1942, she was heavily damaged by an aircraft bombing raid but was able to return to port. During repairs, she was fitted with an upper deck which could carry 11 aircraft, and ten triple 25mm anti-aircraft batteries were added for defense.

The Frigate "Dom Fernando II e Gloria" the last sailing ship built by the Portuguese navy. The wood used was top quality teak. The artillery consisted of cannon in wheeled carriages on the gun deck and carronades on the upper main deck. The ship was launched in 1843 and was named after the Portuguese king and queen. She made her maiden voyage in 1845 and in 1865 she was converted into an artillery training ship. By the time she was retired from service in 1878, the frigate had travelled over 100,000 sea miles, equivalent to five times round the world.

Completed in 1911 the Gangut was the first battleship in the Imperial Russian Navy. A total of four Gangut class battleships had their keel laid and were completed in Saint Petersburg. The armour protection extended over most of the hull and also the relatively small superstructure. The two central turrets of the main armament could only be deployed laterally. The Gangut class battleships were intended for use on the Baltic Seas and were therefore specially fitted with an ice-breaker bow. The expensive battleships were rarely used during World War I in order not to jeopardize them.

For streets, canals, houses or bridges, everywhere that is built up, great piles of sand, gravel, stone or asphalt will often be needed. These so-called bulk goods will be transported by lorries with special bodies. Names such as three-way tipper, rear tipper or dump truck are the best known in these parts. In the USA a dump truck or dumper is also a tipper, but which only tips out or empties the transported materials at the back. Many different manufacturers of body superstructures supply dumper bodies for multiple-axle lorry chassis made by the firms Peterbilt, Mack, Freightliner or Kenworth. Most of the dumpers are made of aluminium and, how could it be otherwise in the land of unlimited possibilities, naturally they are attractively painted or all in chrome. The Peterbilt Motor Company, founded in 1939, is among the most famous American company in the world for the production of medium and heavy trucks. The "379" has been its reference model for a long time, both from a commercial and image point of view. The Peterbilt 378 is very similar to 379. It is characterized by the hood made of fiber glass with a different inclination. The "378" has spread rapidly and it has been employed either for the normal use on the road or for professional and more specific application. Produced from 1987 to 2007 it embodies well the "concept" of the classic American truck with the big hood and the important use of chrome exterior.
