1/48 scale set depicts a simple diorama of an 88mm gun emplacement in North Africa. 88mm gun features detailed parts. Parts for carriage also included to enable depiction of the gun being towed. In towed form, gun model measures 124mm long. Set includes 8 figures, 29 sandbags, as well as 88mm shells and shell cases. Other accessories include a tent, fuel drums, jerry cans, crates, and various tools. Markings included for guns on the North African, Russian, and Italian fronts. The kit consists of 185 parts in dark green plastic plus the now familiar cast metal lower hull tub, a length of twine for the tow cables, a few poly caps plus the decal and instructions sheets.

In the latter half of World War II, the Wehrmacht, having lost air superiority to the Allies, rushed to develop anti-aircraft vehicles. One of these was the Mobelwagen, which was the first self-propelled anti-aircraft gun that utilized the Panzer IV chassis. The prototype, which was equipped with four 2cm Flak guns, was completed in December 1943 and the mass production version, which was equipped with a single, more effective 3.7cm Flak43 capable of firing 250 rounds per minute, was put in production in February 1944. The four large armor plates surrounding the superstructure of the vehicle could be lowered to 60° in anti-aircraft firing position and lowered completely to enable an unimpeded horizontal field of fire against ground targets. By March 1945, a total of 240 vehicles were produced, most of which were deployed to the Western front to defend against Allied fighter-bombers. The first M4 Sherman production model was designated the M4A1, and possessed a distinctively rounded cast hull. A total of 6,281 M4A1 tanks were produced between February 1942 and December 1943. Armed with a 75mm M3 cannon and powered by a 350hp Continental air-cooled R975-C1 radial gasoline engine, the M4A1 was capable of top speeds of 38.9km/h. Early versions had the M34 gun mount with narrow shield, while the 3-piece gear housing was changed to a 1-piece design in later production runs. Applique armor was often added to the upper hull and turret in order to improve protection. The M4A1 served with many armies on various fronts, including with the British 8th Army in North Africa, where it contributed to the victory at El Alamein.
